Happy Kids Play Therapy Centre, Segamat

On 24 March 2009, Kidz DJ donated about 40 personalised music CDs to the children at The Happy Kids Play Therapy Centre at Segamat, Johor.

The Centre provides therapy and developmental needs to hyperactive, spastic, Down Syndrome, autistic and slow learner children. It has various therapies for the children. They include music, drama, expressive, bubble-hydrosonic and occupational therapy. The personalised music CD will be used as part of the music therapy session.

The bubble-hydrosonic is a newly introduced therapy in the Centre. Doreen Bong, the Centre owner, said that there are positive response from the spastic and hyperactive children after undergoing this therapy. The bubble-hydrosonic is similar to jacuzzi. Aromatherapy oils are used in the therapy. The jets of water and aroma stimulates the child's senses and nervous system.

The Centre is a semi-non-governmental organisation which aims to serve children with special needs. According to Doreen, the Centre also provides guidance and training to special education teachers.
